Incredible performances took place at
The Neighborhood Inaugural Ball,
from Jay-Z, Mary J, Alicia, Stevie Wonder, Sting and more…
and a really weird rendition of Van Morrison’s “Bright Side of the Road” (really weird!)…
But the killer performance was when all the artists came on stage to perform what was Barack’s signature theme song for his entire campaign, and it just happens to be one of my own favourite songs of all time.
And to make it even more enjoyable, Barack and Michelle get their funk on and boogie on down with the crowd!…

… and we were all here to witness it.
Well, to be completely acurate, I witnessed it in glorious High Definition.
I have to give props to Sky News for broadcasting the entire inauguration in HD using their SkyArts HD channel.
I have to say, it looked absolutely spectacular. If you thought it was good-looking in standard definition, it was simply breathtaking in HD.
Anyway, there’s millions of people all over the world with millions of words to say about what happened today, so I’d rather just do this…
I posted this image here on my blog back in November ’08 when it was announced that Barack won, and I feel it is probably even more symbolic today. So rather than talk (or write!) forever, I’ll let this image do the work.

I’m glad it has happened during my lifetime.
I said it back in November, and I’ll say it again…
What an image. It really drives home the fact that change has indeed come to America. Awesome.
